Three steps
Push the counterweight onto the arm, as far as it goes. There is nothing else to adjust.
Arm lead into an amplifier with a phono input, or into a separate phono stage. Adapter into the wall socket.
Stylus guard off, switch on, lower the arm. Listen.
What's inside
Built by hand, on ultra-low-friction bearings. The bias is set at the factory.
Fitted and aligned at the factory. When the stylus wears, you replace just the stylus.
Phenolic resin, with enough mass to work as a flywheel. That keeps the speed steady.
Made to measure and removable. Keeps the dust off arm and record when it is not playing.
The story
The Replay is the way into Rega's range: it sits below the Planar 1, for the listener who wants a real turntable straight out of the box. Rega spent three years refining it, and it is built by hand in the UK. The RB110 arm has its bias fixed at the factory and carries an aligned Carbon cartridge, so the first record is playing within a minute. Under that simplicity sits real engineering: a low-noise 24V motor, a brass bearing housing, a 23 mm phenolic platter and a skeletal plinth with a black MDF core. There is no phono stage inside; the amplifier or a separate phono stage provides it.
